Position Summary

As an Automotive Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing thorough vehicle inspections, diagnoses, and repairs to ensure customer satisfaction and vehicle safety. You will work closely with the Service Manager to set and achieve personal and team goals related to quality and productivity.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Accurately troubleshoot and resolve customer vehicle concerns using current administrative and technical tools.
  • Demonstrate common courtesy and act as a secondary greeter for customers in the service area.
  • Stay current with technical publications, service communications, and diagnostic systems.
  • Ensure all vehicle services meet or exceed factory and local standards, performed safely and correctly the first time.
  • Inspect vehicles for additional service opportunities following warranty and maintenance recommendations.
  • Return customers' vehicles clean or cleaner than at arrival.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork accurately, attaching required forms to service orders.
  • Participate in factory or in-house training programs to develop skills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Service Manager, Assistant Service Manager, or Group Leader.
  • Maintain punctuality and professionalism, including wearing a clean uniform.

Work Hours

This is a full-time, in-person position based at our Avondale location.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Experience with warranty and non-warranty inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on various vehicle makes and models.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed performance goals.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Professional appearance and strong work ethic.
  • Positive attitude and energetic personality.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions carefully.
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • ASE certification preferred.
  • Technical or trade school degree is a plus.
