Position Overview

As an Automotive Sales Consultant, you will manage all sales activities from lead generation to closing deals. This role requires excellent communication, customer service skills, and a strong commitment to assisting customers throughout the sales process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and conduct a needs analysis to understand the desired vehicle make, type, and features.
  • Explain vehicle features and demonstrate operation both in the showroom and during test drives.
  • Use the computer database to research model availability and optional equipment.
  • Collaborate with Sales and F&I Managers to negotiate sales prices, including taxes, trade-in allowances, license fees, and financing or lease terms.
  • Inspect vehicle inventory on the lot regularly.
  • Complete all paperwork accurately and arrange for vehicle delivery and registration.
  • Deliver vehicles to customers and provide thorough orientation on vehicle operation.
  • Participate in required training sessions and department meetings.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

Work Hours

Full-time position with scheduled shifts aligned with dealership hours.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications

  • One year of related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong sales skills, excellent communication, and outstanding customer service abilities.
  • Organizational skills with thorough follow-up to maintain client relationships before and after sales.
  • Current valid driver's license is required.
  • Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to speak a second language is preferred but not required.
